Pinmate uses strictly necessary cookies plus optional analytics cookies you can toggle in the consent banner. After you opt in to analytics we load Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4.
Essential cookies
Two httpOnly cookies: pinmate_session (30 days — keeps you signed in) and pinmate_pending_2fa (10 minutes — parks the user ID between password and 2FA code). The app cannot work without them.
Preferences
In localStorage we store: pinmate.consent (your cookie consent decision), selected language (next-intl) and light/dark theme (next-themes). They persist until you wipe browser data.
Third parties
Map tiles come from MapTiler — they see anonymous tile requests, not your account. After you opt in to analytics we load Google Tag Manager (container GTM-5P8HJQRR) which fires Google Analytics 4 (property G-9K9TPYF7DF) — sets cookies _ga and _ga_* for up to 14 months. We don't embed any ad networks, retargeting or social pixels.
Your control
Withdraw consent any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer. Block cookies in your browser to disable sign-in. Clear localStorage to reset consent, language and theme.
